Self Defense on Horseback©

Two riders emerge from a forest trail. Are you prepared if you are attacked while out on a ride?Riding in the backcountry or along a pleasant recreational trail is one of joys of horse ownership. It is also one of the venues of greatest danger for horse and rider. Assaults are not restricted to urban centers: whether alone or in small groups, we may become the targets of those who would do us harm. We need not fear a ride in the wilderness or along a park trail if we have the skills to prevent and address attacks.

This essential clinic will train you to:

  • Identify and avoid attackers
  • Protect your horse and yourself
  • Ride with alertness and confidence
  • Reduce your profile as an assault victim
  • Prepare both yourself and your horse to fight back
  • Turn yourself and your horse into defensive weapons
